Hello people,
I'd like to take some time out to describe what has become my new home in the world of art. It's a place called Shadowness, some of you might have heard of it, some of you might have not.
When I first glanced at the website my first thoughts were; "Hmmm, should I join this site? The quality seems way too high, not sure if I can match up and if my presence was appreciated". Though I'm very glad I made that step in the end, just 10 minutes after joining my page was filling up with welcome messages.
How could I have been so wrong about this place? It's quite literally full of warm hearted people, trying to help you out as you figure out how the website. Receiving plenty of comments on my work as I went a long. It was the most welcoming experience I've had on the net probably anywhere.
So this was only the first day, I've been on the site since the 20th of April. I've been spending probably most of my online time there. It's really nice to see how involved everyone is. Including the founder, you might think that these people are usually very inaccessible. But if you ask the founder a question (Which happens to be on dA too *
7shadows) I can almost guarantee you he will give an answer, and most likely he will be around your page commenting on your works as well. And the same goes with the rest of the staff there.
I think this was a great step forward for me in an art-community. I've always liked to help other people out, resulting that I am now in the Support Team on Shadowness. Which allows me and the team to help people, feature them, write helpful articles and so on. And you can be a part of this too, if this is what you have always wanted to do on an art-site, this really is the place for you. We are always looking out for supportive people.
I know some of you might have doubts about the place, are you good enough? do I want to be in another art-community?
But why don't you just give it a try? Signing up won't hurt you and who knows you might find your place there too like I have.
I would like to state that I am not writing this article because deviantART is nothing to me any more. Because it is something to me, a lot actually. It's the place that formed me as an artist and a person. I've met many great people and friends in this place and I have the people from dA to thank for that. For this reason I will always stay with dA, I just won't be able to be on here as much as I used to and I liked to.
I would love to see my friends here on dA join me there too, give it a go and see what will happen. I'm looking forward to it.

Danny
