Civil Defense Alarm [2ND UPDATE]

Hello people,

My alarmclock went off to early today, trying to put it in snooze it kept on going, took me about 1 minute to realize it was the Civil Defense Alarm.

Pretty much shocked i followed standard procedure, closing all the windows, put the tv on for messages... turns out to be a technical problem... it had me scared for a few minutes lol.

What a nice way to wake up!

Update:

It turns out to be a cloud of saltpeter leaking from a truck, this was only 8.5 miles away from here... It's not declared safe yet

ja, woon er niet zo heel ver vandaan, dus de ramen en deuren en alles is dicht, maar hele slechte berichtgeving hier... ik zette omroep friesland op en die zeiden dat het een technische fout is... lekker is dat :S

Er lekt een vrachtwagen met zoutzuur bij Leeuwarden in de buurt, eerste berichtgeving was dat het een foutje was... lekker is dat

I woke up to a beautiful Spanish sunny day - No alarm clocks nor noise - I followed standard procedure had breakfast, a shower and read the morning newspapers :) Cheers mate - Have a good weekend :)

Een technische fout? Lekker dan.. naja, als je inderdaad gewoon alles dicht houdt zal het wel goed zijn, als het echt gevaarlijk is wordt je wel persoonlijk gewaarschuwd. Meestal valt het achteraf heel erg mee. Moest je nog weg vandaag?

ugh ja, alles blijft nog even dicht..ze zijn nog aan het onderzoeken waar de wolk is. Moest gelukkig niet weg, maar wel raar om te zien hoe slecht mensen reageren op zon weeralarm, 5 minuten later zie je gewoon nog mensen met de hond lopen en mensen rondfietsen... het alarm is er niet voor niets

Het alarm kan hier gaan zo hard en vaak als het wil, ik zal er niet wakker van worden. Als ik op de testdagen het alarm wil horen moet ik naar buiten gaan en erg goed luisteren.
Dan hoor je zacht iets op de achtergrond zoemen.
De sirene staat te ver bij ons vandaan.
Sinds ze de nieuwe sirenes hebben horen we ze niet meer.

Oh dat is niet goed dan, voor de nieuwe sirenes was het hier juist heel slecht. Nu hoor ik er een stuk of 3 hard doorelkaar.

Maar het is ook verassend om te zien hoe weinig mensen er op reageren, iedereen liep hier nog gewoon over straat met de hond en op de fiets.
